Does emissions tier affect what my diesel generator is worth?
Significantly. Tier 4 Final units command premium pricing for domestic resale, while Tier 2 and Tier 3 machines remain strong sellers into export and standby-only applications. Either way, the tier is on the nameplate — send it and we'll price accordingly.
How much do run hours matter on a diesel genset?
Less than sellers fear. A well-maintained diesel with 20,000 prime-power hours still has decades of life. Hours set the price bracket, but maintenance records, oil samples, and load-bank history can move a unit up a bracket.
Do you buy diesel generators with wet-stacking or smoke issues?
Yes. Wet-stacking from chronic light loading is common on oversized standby units and is usually recoverable. Describe the symptoms honestly and we'll factor a load-bank service into our offer instead of rejecting the unit.
