Condition matters less than most sellers think. Low-hour standby units bring the strongest numbers, but high-hour prime-power machines, storm-damaged enclosures, blown engines, and even incomplete gensets still carry real value in the used market. The worst outcome is paying a scrapper to haul away a machine that a rebuilder would have paid five figures for. Do you buy generators that don't run?
Yes. Non-running, damaged, and incomplete units still have core value in the engine block, alternator end, and copper. We price them on rebuildable value rather than walking away, and we still handle the rigging and freight.
Is there a minimum size you'll purchase?
Our sweet spot starts around 50 kW for commercial and industrial units. We generally pass on residential air-cooled standby units under 30 kW, but if you're not sure where your unit falls, text the nameplate — it costs nothing to ask.
Do you buy switchgear, transfer switches, and accessories?
We do, especially when they're sold alongside the generator. Automatic transfer switches, paralleling switchgear, sub-base fuel tanks, remote radiators, and load banks all add to your offer.
